BREAKING COVID-19 NEWS [Virus on the Defense]

By Elijah "COVID-CRUSHER-31" Bond

During the passed week we are finally able to gasp a breath of relief, as Aussie State Govnt's and commercial leaders are gearing up to relax lock-downs, open up international borders, continue the push for vaccination herd immunity, provide home COVID-19 Test kits. As protests continue to rage across the nations, statistics are finally start to prove effectiveness of the vaccination roll out. Though we may still be a while away from experiencing anything remotely close to "normal", we still have hope and enduring Aussie spirit!

Medical experts have questioned NSW’s decision to give unvaccinated citizens the same freedoms as their double jabbed counterparts in just over two months’ time.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced on Monday that freedoms will be applied to all NSW citizens regardless of their vaccination status when most restrictions are scrapped on December 1.

Opponents to vaccine mandates have inundated a NSW judge’s office with calls and emails, leading to a warning they risked interfering with the administration of justice.

Two separate challenges to vaccine mandates for particular workers are due to be heard urgently in the NSW Supreme Court on Thursday.

But at a directions hearing on Tuesday, Justice Robert Beech-Jones said that because his chambers “has been inundated with emails, the legitimate ones can’t get through”.

It coincides with dozens of callouts in anti-vaccine groups to contact Beech-Jones about their views.

One was shared in an official supporter group for One Nation Senator Malcolm Roberts on an encrypted messaging app and viewed 40,000 times.

Lockdown will end in most of regional Victoria this week, with the exception of Greater Shepparton, as the state records 221 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases.

From 11.59pm Thursday, stay-at-home orders will be removed, travel restrictions lifted, offices will be allowed to operate at 25 per cent capacity or 10 people, and businesses can reopen with caps on patron numbers.

Prep to Year 2 students, as well as those in Year 12, will be able to return to the classroom, but remote learning will remain in place for other cohorts.

Home COVID-19 tests will be made available in Australia from 1 November following a recommendation from the health regulator.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration says the rapid antigen testing will be made available in a matter of weeks, subject to final tests and approvals.

There have been more than 70 expressions of interest for home testing kits to be approved in Australia, with 33 of those being approved for supervised use.

Hungry Jack’s billionaire boss Jack Cowin has a strong message for anti-vaxxers and Western Australia.

The fast-food entrepreneur, who is fully vaccinated, said every Australian State and Territory will need to get on the same page for the country to open up and “get ourselves out of jail”.

Earlier this month, Premier Mark McGowan said he expects the State to reopen “once we reach very high levels of vaccination” which he indicted would be “next year.”
